I live in the old camp of buy the best speakers you can and build back. In my opinion nothing in the audio chain changes sound as much or is as exciting as speakers.
Some audiophiles are about the amps, but the tunes are about the speakers.

Here here. Speakers EASILY (right before the ROOM) have the most impact, percentage of system-wise. Why not show pics of your speakers, AO? Here's mine: A video:

Great Carver speakers there TnRabbit. Your system is beyond excellent as to sound and appearance, plus I know they are not common Carver Speakers, but modded by an expert - you. I have a couple of Carver speakers, two of the Sunfire CRS-3 out here on the porch. Beside them I have the Gallo AV and a 12 inch Polk Micro Pro Sub(rare). They run with a Sunfire 5 channel amp. Maybe it is overkill for the porch, but I am too old to waste time on cheap playback. Here is a link explaining my porch audio. yardcraphome.com/showthread.php?888-REDNECK-PORCH-AUDIOI truly believe Bob Carver could sit out here and be entertained. I see Polk fans here -> Inside I run the TV with the Polk VM 30s and 20s + Polk sub, see no reason to ever change that. In my RedNck bar which gets less use these days I have this rack - The short speakers are DT STs which still retail at $4k and worth every penny. The tall ones are McIntosh pulled with 2 Sunfire 600X2 as they need raw power to shine and they do shine . Not in the photo is other speakers gathering dust like we all have. Two that are not are my No highs, No lows.... must be **** 301s that play at the treadmill. I've had them for 20 years, they still sound good.

Somehow I'm not picturing you on a treadmill. I do however dig the birdhouse in the middle of the speakers....poor deaf birds. lol

Why can't you see me with a treadmill? You don't know me. I am beginning to think you are picking on me for no reason other than our audio preferences. Good fun, I like that .
I do own a treadmill, also a bike, a Nordic Track, a Bowflex and a boxing speed and heavy bag. This is like my third treadmill and is not the fold up toy types you get for a thousand in box stores, but a real one.
I took up jogging at 35 and have done hundreds of foot races, over 50 Marathons, 50 miles races, even 12 and 24 hours races on the track. In age groups over 40 I broke course records in a few states and broke a couple state records at 15K and above. I have not raced in a few years, but may give it another go when I hit my next age group.
Have I been banned - can't log in ~
