Look about same size as Monitor 7 cabs and are fairly heavy.... Not sure if 8" or 10" driver....

Could even be cherry but I could be wrong.
Hard to find much on them online. One AK thread but not about yours specifically. 2 way bass reflex ported? Apparently the 310's were pretty nice and could handle lots of power with tight bass.

Yes there's a port on front. Also found a RM-3000 subwoofer. Trying find info on it. I think there are 2 Midwoofers inside driving the 10" passive...

Im thinking one or both of the midwoofers may be frozen. I couldn't push the passive very easily.
Headed back from shop, I will send your hybrid M7 tweeters out tomorrow. Thank Pittdog for the magnet donors. They're in good shape.

Yeah, I might have picked them up for the cabs if the veneer was uniform. Looks pieced together.
I can always count on you F1 to get a really solid opinion on whether something's crap or not.

Went back with ohm meter, they ohmed out good. Took to shop hooked it up and it works nicely.... Opened up and the Passive is SW103 and looks new and suspension is very tight with a thick burly rubber surround....
Snagged 2 perfectly functioning MW6502's..

The Polk Gods shine on you for all your good karma! That is cool that the surround is thick and stiff on the SW103 passive. I wonder what other models it was used in. Maybe that LF14 subwoofer they made around 1981 and they also sold it paired with the Monitor 4 as sattelites. Stereo Review Jun 1981 and Jun 1982 ads. Edit - oops not the same because yours is not the soft foam planar and the LF14 uses a 12" vs the 10" in your RM-3000.

I know there were a 1st and 2ng gen. system. This sub is from 2nd gen. The original deception of the passive seeming frozen was the fact that there are two sealed chambers in the enclosure so it was difficult to push easily. Once passive is removed, it moves much more freely.
If anyone needs the SW103, let me know and I'll pack it up. Interestingly there is a thick paper basket dampener on its basin from factory.
