What music do you consider to be the best songs and why? What music do you find yourself coming back to over and over again?
For me its a bunch of my dads LP's. Not the music most of you would listen too, but I have fond memories of running downstairs and saying "Daddy play the X song".
Mostly it was Petra, their This Means War and Back to the Street LP's. Also some Stryper stuff, but I dont know where those LP's went.
So lets get talking? Whats your reference music? Whats your bring back those good feeling music? Whats your rock out to music?

60's Soul music rocks my boat.
I have thousands of LPs and etc.
Just saw an HD release of Van Morrison - Moon Dance - an album I can never get far from. Will I pay $$.

Jeff Beck: Live At Ronnie Scott's
The entire BluRay is in 720p on YouTube here:
Go to 15:30 for a TERRIFIC cut! Good ones at 37 minutes & 55 minutes, too. There are a couple of GREAT guest singers in there & a super great guitar guest at the end!!
One of the best live recordings ever.
...it doesn't hurt that Taz Wildenfeld, Jeff's bass player, is cute as hell & plays a mean bass (I think she's 22 in this video). Gives me hope for today's generation.

If you like the Grateful Dead, dead.net is having a 30 Days of Dead this month. A free download every day. You can download previous days. These are mostly unreleased tracks from concerts. They are in MP-3 but good quality. They range in size from 9.1MB up to 41.4MB. www.dead.net/30daysofdead/nov-20-2013-0

My current fav is Peter Cincotti's "On The Moon"... brilliant recording, especially for SDA's and copious amounts of tube power.

I had a job as security in Charlotte. When the "deadheads" hit town it was a mess. Make no mistake, they were not trouble, just interesting, no muscle needed.

Never cared for The Dead...Pink Floyd....or Zepplin....Sabbath too. I know....shoot me. Most their shit just sounded like noise to me, not really music. Plus it gave me a fucking headache.
Queen Dire Straights Springsteen Mellencamp Eagles Don Henley Doobies Boston Kansas Meatloaf Journey Styx Host of Motown artists Elvis U2 ZZ TOP ......Just to name some, many other one hit wonders or bands that I just like a couple songs from. See a pattern ? LOL

Love the Imogen Heap 'Blanket' track, and of course the EC tracks. Otherwise I'm kinda living in the past musically (and other ways too): Rush (nothing much after Signals, though their latest 'Clockwork Angels' album is excellent) Genesis (nothing much after Duke) Floyd Tull Queen Dire Straights Various Jazz, Folk (Nick Drake / John Martyn), blues etc. I snagged a collection of 700 Dixie Land albums on craigslist a few months ago, had some fun with that stuff too!
