...this pay period. You guys know this is your fault. Talking Heads, Primus, Fu Manchu, Minor Threat... This has been an awesome day, shopping and listening. The only kind of shopping I actually enjoy. This must be what the ladies feel like about clothes shopping.

I have bought a few used records but the deal with those is most of them are not in the best shape. It's expensive but I'm getting mint looking and sounding records. I have ordered some used on Discogs and it seems like people really like to say the condition is a lot better than it really is. Almost every record on that site is listed as M or NM, no way.
I'll check out that site.

It's hit & miss, but most of the time, I get mine still in decent shape. Read descriptions and check the sellers feedback to gauge your buys. A RCM helps to bring a lot of them back to life.

I'm working on getting a Spinclean. I know it's not a vacuum or osmosis RCM but it's cheap. Also I should get a Zerostat soon. Before long I need a place to store my records. I have one of those boxes that has a lid and closes with a latch but it's full and the rest of the records are just on the ground leaning up against the wall. I want this guy... www.lpbin.com/lpbinmodernblack

Never tried the Spin Clean, but some say they do a fair job. My advice, save your money up and wait til you can get a decent vacuum RCM. Before I got my VPI, I cleaned my records with a 4" paint brush over the sink with a little bit of Dawn dishwashing liquid and a microfiber towel. I got very good results, but nothing beats a good vacuum record cleaner. The thing that turns me off with the Spin Clean is that you're using the same contaminated fluid over again. Save your money, bro and invest it in a VPI or Nitty Gritty when you have enough. For storage, Home Depot sells plastic tubs with lids, cheap. These work great for storing vinyl.
