Anyone thinking about this amp? If so get your self an emot shirt and coffee mug because you will take more pride in owner ship because the rotel is a piece of garbage audio. I always thought of tossing into the mass of clutter my house is now filled with a rotel 1095 but if it sounds anything like the 1552 then scrap that idea. I did a direct comparison with the krell showcase I snagged from branile on the polk forum and it really "showcased" ( hahah I'm smart} how muffled the top end wasof the rotel and the lacking of bass.
Nice to try but a nightmare to buy, I give it 3 big piles of cow shit outa 10

With all due respect PFB, your comparing a Krell to a Rotel ? Given your level of gear on hand, I have to ask why are you even messing around with Rotel ?

I got a good deal on it and wanted to put it in the bedroom with a receiver. I did compare it to the Anthem amp and still it just sounded lousy, its not a good unit and I bet alot of gear at the same price would give it a sonic whooping.

Then you should just hold on to the Anthem receiver and use that in the bedroom. Can't ask for too much more than that for a bedroom system.
