Well, I am 38 years old and got my first motorcycle when I was 11.
I traded a nitro-powered RC car to a friend of mine for a 1985 Kawasaki KX80 that had a 120cc big bore kit. My friend raced dirtbikes and shifter karts but had multiples of each. His dad OKed the trade. I had to keep it at his house though as my parents would have come unglued had they known I got a motorcycle.
Spent a LOT of time hopping ditches and putting in laps on his practice track in his backyard.
Since then, my list of motorcycles has been rather extensive...
1976 Honda CB400F
1980 Honda CBX
1986 Honda Interceptor 500
1989 Honda CBR600F
KTM 250 (Can't even remember the year...)
1985 Kawasaki KX80
1986 Kawasaki ZX900A3 Ninja (Think Tom Cruise in Top Gun...)
1990 Suzuki GSX-R1100
1999 Suzuki GSX-R600
2000 Suzuki GSX-R750
2004 Suzuki GSX-R1000
1990 Yamaha FZR-400
1992 Yamaha FZR-600 (Vance & Hines edition)
1992 Yamaha FZR-600
1992 Yamaha FZR-1000
1994 Yamaha TZ250
1994 Yamaha FZR-600
1996 Yamaha FZR-600
2001 Yamaha FZ1
2003 Yamaha FJR1300
1969 Triumph Bonneville
1980 Harley Davidson FLH (Police Special)
1979 Harley Davidson Sportster
2006 Harley Davidson Screamin' Eagle FLH
2000 Ducati Monster 900i.e.
2012 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring
There have been several others in there as well...I have a full(y insane) list at home but I have owned around 40 or 50 bikes total over the years.
That doesn't include ATVs which have been around 10 or bikes for my kids which was 4.
Needless to say, I love to ride and would rather be on a bike than in a car even if it is raining.
I raced in CRA, CMRA and WERA over the years doing road racing in a few different classes. Also drag raced the ZX900A3 and the GSX-R1100. Never did anything memorable other than share the track with Colin Edwards who is now racing MotoGP. I am also friends with dozens of racers from club racing levels all the way up to world level racers. I have been to several riding and racing schools and will most likely be attending Colin Edward's Texas Tornado Boot Camp sometime next year.
I haven't ridden the track in 3 years now and I miss it immensely. That said, in the spring, I plan on picking up an endure motorcycle of some sort and will be buying a set of supermoto wheels for it to be able to do track days on it.
So...there it is...my moto-life in a nutshell.
