A little over a month ago I decided I was going to try out the cheap $100 Duelund rca interconnects, completely unshielded, might as well be 16 gauge speaker wire soldered to rca interconnects, because that's what it is!
Sounds incredible, has all of the detail and staging of the DH Labs interconnects but a notch or two warmer, plus an interesting tonal quality.
So I started thinking, if this sounds good, I wonder how the power cable version sounds? I found a 2m power cable, I purchased it and a set of iec ends, cut it in half and made two. I installed these two on my dac and streamer. Sounded even warmer, more textures, no sacrifice of detail, totally blown away.
Heck, why not order one for the trivista, done. Plugged it in, just gets better every one I plug in...
Heavily considering changing the supra quadrax to the duelund dca 12 wire already in a sleeve, but it would be such a pain in the ass to change them out.
Either way, for the price to entry, everyone should try these cables just to play with.
OH, also, no noise no interference, nada, no shielding, not even a light static at the tweeters with my ears next to them!

Years back pal that is all we had and all I used. Not once did I ever have an interference problem. Most all my current power cords are plain ol'braided 12ga stranded THNN cable. I use Sonar ends either plain copper or gold plated copper. I like the Sonar regular and IEC ends because they have a longer flatter pinch point and grip very good because of it. If I could figure out how to post a picture on mobile I would.
Oh well I'm too farkin stupid. I've tried both insert image and the picture icon. Take picture or pick a picture I've just took, nothing shows up.😓

On the other hand, years back we didn't have to deal with microprocessors, cell phones, and SMPS and all of the RFI hash that they have gifted us with. I've made several sets of hyper-minimalist cables out of twisted pairs of 30 gauge enamel-insulated magnet wire. They work surprisingly well... but the ones I've made (i.e., the way I've made 'em) are kind of fragile. The Duelund wire products do call to me, though! Mostly for use as loudspeaker wire, in my case (and FWIW).

Been awhile since I used unshielded cables. Last time though, they definitely picked up unwanted noise. Maybe because it was in a HT/Music system that had a lot of gear on the same rack. I dunno.

In my rack all of my gear is side ways so I am able to run the cables with no overlapping and tons of space apart. All power cables are away from Ic and speaker wire. I could see in a crowded space they would not work

You got any pictures of your sideways gear, I'm having a hard time picturing it?
