Well, as many from that old club may know, i took in a well malnourished auto a few months back, with full intentions to get it back to a nice state of being. while i have done much to straighten this old boy out, it still needs a bit of work, and my time here plus import laws make it pretty dumb to continue in this endeavor. I will be selling my little money pit, for peanuts, to a guy who just moved here. I told him what is wrong with it, said for 500.00 its his, and that if law wasnt what it was, I would never part with it. For those who dont know or remember, the car is a 1992 Lada Niva, a small 2 door SUV that hails from the USSR. While I am sad to see it go, i have found a 1988 in much nicer shape, with a lift installed and a lot of fun to be had, and i couldnt be more excited(fingers crossed i can get it). Here is my current one, www.flickr.com/photos/98578300@N08/sets/72157636553903173/photos are arranged newest to oldest, although the paint has been a little more redone, and the side markers are now tinted, as well as the grill painted tan with a black logo. Here is the one i hope to get www.subito.it/auto/lada-niva-1988-palermo-74773635.htman italian friend has been in contact for me, and i shall soon receive pics of the engine bay and interior, as i cant just drive 2 and a half hours to check out a car.

Cool looking, but why do you need an SUV ? Isn't gas out there fairly expensive ? Wouldn't something more economical fit the bill better ?
