Cables are like ice cream, a flavor for every ear/system. I roll a lot of cables, used of course, with the idea that somewhere is a gem in a mountain of junk. Still, the amount of cable makers out there are like grains of sand on a beach and I of course haven't tried every brand out there . So far though, this is what works for me.....
Speaker cables= Greg Strailey Reality bi-wire. Paid 350 for a 8ft pair delivered. Still haven't found anything remotely close in SQ for roughly the same price.
Digital coax = Audio Metallurgy GA-0. Bought on auction for 80 bucks. Hard pressed to find one for that price anymore. Excellent well balanced cable with tons of detail and bass slam. Has a nice analog sound to it. Bested the Blackcat.
Ic's = currently only using 2 pair. One is Bogden Goldy's and the other MIT S3's. The S3's from the dac to receiver and the Bogdens from receiver to amp. The Bogdens on auction were 40 bucks and the MIT's 125 clams. Steals all the way around.
Tried some AP copper ovals and really liked them....except the lower bass which is the same dissatisfaction I have with the S3's. The Crystal ovals are suppose to be way better so the hunt is on.
I know some like the Morrows, haven't given them a whirl yet though. I should just leave shit alone, my system is like 90% of where I want it to be but that last 10% keeps bothering the back of my brain.
