Of manslaughter. For her son's act of killing four people.
All I see here is a dangerous precedent being set. I'd love to hear what the general consensus is on this case.

I believe it was due to her buying the gun for him.

Fuck that, what if she bought him a baseball bat and he killed people with it?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. When my daughter was 17 I handed her the keys to our car. I guess it's a good thing she didn't drive into a crowd of people.

I also believe she knew her son was a whack job that had no business with a gun. That makes it different than giving your normal kid a bat or car. I mean, one look at her kid should tell you he wasn't right in the head. He's got crazy written on his forehead.

If she in fact "knew" her son was a whack job she should have been charged with murder. I would like to see a better analysis of the case than what I've found on Spewtube.

Can you tell the whack job?

How bout this? Hint: "Blood thirsty savage whack job murderer" would easily be written on their forehead in 32 point Times Roman.

"Blood thirsty savage whack job murderer" Oh yes, how can we ever forget the double murderer. I recently started watching a program yet had to stop (for now) due to the photos shown of what the bastard did to an innocent young man as well as the mother of those two young children who thankfully did not wake up to the reality of the choice made by the killer they sadly call Dad.
Yet another one society would be better off without, period. No one on earth will ever get me to change my mind.
No, I'm not crazy, I've just had enough.

emma you are certainly not alone there, in fact I believe him to be the killer as well. In contrast to the axiom, sometimes good things happen to bad people too. But he will be judged when it matters most.
I am just concerned about how much responsibility should be handed out to anyone for another person's actions. I have shown my daughter and others many times how to properly handle/load/unload/etc. various firearms. She knows where they are kept as well. So am I to blame if she snaps one day? This is the problem I have, with our society in general and firearm ownership in particular. It rings of the lawsuits filed against gun and ammo manufacturers when their products cause harm in someone else's hands.

If I gave my X a gun I would be complicit in my own murder and I should be charged accordingly but I would be dead so I guess it's a moot point.
