on the bright side -- the links are working, and the "Reserve Series" is on the main page! Heck, the Reserve Series might resuscitate the brand name for its owners.

Maybe Doc.
But if Polk doesn't get a handle on quality control of other products, and their CS team back up to snuff, then their future is the same as Radio Shack.

Well, there's no Alexa in the Reserve Series, so there's one less set of glitches to worry about!

They are interesting either way. I'd like to hear and see them. They seem nicely priced. Anyone get to hear a pair yet? Welcome Thanks

The R200, not exactly impressive specs. frequency response: 51-38,000 Hz nominal impedance: 4 ohms sensitivity: 86 dB recommended amplifier power: 70 watts high-current amplification from a quality power amp or integrated amp is recommended for best performance What don't you like about those spec's? I think hitting down to 51hz is perfect for a Book shelf speakers. You can roll them into a sub really nice. Think about the DD10 Plus coming up to around 60-90 hz blending in the bottom end. I feel some magic happening here. I gotta get my ears on this line.

The way this reads, the drivers are identical to what is used in the legend series? Now I completely understand there can be other differences, but for joe blow consumer, what an odd choice. Will be a hard up sale to get the same drivers in arguably uglier enclosure at a much higher price and supposedly higher performance in the legend series? The walnut enclosures are great looking though, I am assuming vinyl but I didn't read that it was vinyl or veneer? Looks like a great value though from polk, just makes the legend series odd to me I hear you on all points. The Vinyl bothers me but if it's real nice I think I could get past it. The Legends are a different animal to me. They are way more expensive and the flagship of Polks current line. I get where they where going with them. The Bookshelf models I had them here for the demo and they where really nice I just didn't think they where on par with other speakers in the same price point. Now if the Reserve series can perform close to that level of performance for their prices? That's a winner in my book. All the reviews I saw so far are very positive. I need to get in front of the entire line.

Mine are also 86dB, so I know it takes a bit of juice to make them sing.

Yeah, those specs are a tad on the light side, and why the 4 ohm rating for a bookie that most will want to drive with a 600 buck receiver. Competition in the bookie department is very competitive these days and those specs don't scream out to me as a winner amongst the crowd.

I don't understand the infatuation with low impedance loudspeakers, full stop.
